Tour itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Tirana - Durres

Flight to Tirana and transfer to our hotel in Durres.

Day 2: Durres - Berat - Apollonia - Vlora

In the morning sightseeing of Durres and continuation to Berat. The city of 1,000 windows - as Berat is also called - and its fortress, which is still inhabited today, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then on to the excavations of Apollonia. More than 2,500 years ago, the Greeks built a colony here in honor of Apollo. After the visit continue to our hotel in Vlora.

Day 3: Vlora - Llogara National Park - Saranda

Today we leave Vlora and drive along the picturesque coastal road along the Albanian Riviera. Unique nature awaits us in Llogara National Park. Next stop is Himara - a true jewel of Southern Albania. On the peninsula of Porto Palermo we make a photo stop to take pictures of the massive triangular fort of Ali Pasha. Continue to the hotel in Saranda.

Day 4: Saranda - Butrint - Ksamil - Blue Eye - Gjirokaster

Sightseeing of Butrint -UNESCO World Heritage Site. A large number of ancient buildings were discovered here during excavations. Parts of them are still amazingly well preserved. On our way to Gjirokaster we will see the "Blue Eye". Hotel in Gjirokaster.

Day 5: Gjirokaster - Korca

In the morning we will visit Gjirokastra, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is also called "City of Stones", we will visit the fortress and if you feel like it, you can also visit the only weapons museum in Albania. Afterwards we will continue our journey through the mountains of Albania to Korca, where we will check into our hotel.

Day 6: Korca - Ohrid

In the morning sightseeing of Korca, then our way leads to the northern Macedonian border and to the famous Ohrid Lake. The lake is the oldest and deepest lake in Europe. The town and the lake are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way to the UNESCO city we will visit the monastery of Sv. Naum, nestled in unique nature. Here is located not only the monastery, but also the springs of Lake Ohrid, which we explore during a rowing boat trip. Afterwards drive to our hotel in Ohrid.

Day 7: Ohrid - Elbasan - Tirana

We start our day with a short boat trip on Lake Ohrid and let the flair of the city take effect on us from the water. Afterwards we explore the city on foot. In the afternoon back to Albania, along the old Roman road "Via Egnatia" we reach the city of Elbasan. After a short sightseeing we continue to our hotel in Tirana.

Day 8: Tirana - Kruja - Tirana

Drive to Kruje, the town of the national hero Skanderbek. We will see the impressive fortress and the old town with the oriental looking bazaar. Then on to Tirana. Extensive sightseeing tour, we see among others the Skanderbek Square with its Italian splendor buildings and the former official residence of Envher Hoxher. In the evening we move into our hotel in Tirana.

Day 9: Transfer to Tirana airport.
